Rainbow Chard: The George Foreman of Vegetables
Are you tired of the same old greens? Are you looking for a power packed new veggie to bring some color and life to your meals? Try rainbow chard. Rainbow chard packs a serious nutritional punch, which is why we call it the “George Foreman” of greens.
Chard is a superfood! It contains a plentiful source of magnesium, potassium, and iron. It is very high in antioxidants and vitamins A, C, K (about 300% of your daily needs), and so many B-complex vitamins we don’t have space to write them out. Chard, like many greens, is low in calories at just 35 cals per serving, and high in fiber. Add chard to your green smoothies, sautee in coconut oil and garlic and serve as a side dish, or chop it up and add it to a nice pot of soup. Adding greens like Swiss Chard, or Rainbow Chard will not only add beautiful color to your diet, but will help you maintain the kind of energy we all need to be successful in the multi-tasking world we live in. Don’t be surprised if you start doing juming jacks on a Tuesday… just for fun!
